overview

Pipit is a contemporary Australian restaurant by renowned chef Ben Devlin and partner Yen Trinh. Ben came to us with his vision to exclusively cook using charcoal techniques and for a fit out that put the kitchen and its wood-fired oven at the centre of the dining experience. And whilst Ben’s background in fine dining could have taken the brief one way, the vibe was to be as down to earth as its Pottsville location. Our solution is a playful charcoal inspired typographic lockup rendered in classic black and white. The rest should speak for itself. Bon appetit!

The original logo (left) suffered from poor legibility no matter how large its scale.

The new logo system allowed for more versatility in application.

Importantly, the system allowed for the creation of consistent sub brands.
