overview
Despite a recent logo update, Hembrows were looking decidedly '1978' as opposed to the innovative employer of over 100 electricians they had grown to become. So, Creature set about refreshing their brand in time to celebrate their 40th birthday, not to mention the years to come.
PROCESS:
With over 25,000 solar installs in Queensland alone (more than any other electrician) it’s amazing they’re not a household name. We orchestrated a number of workshops, working hand in hand with management to understand their culture, the challenges they face in the market, and the opportunities. Between their depth of staff, breadth of coverage, and longevity in the industry, we came to develop the ‘Power in Numbers’ proposition. Updating the logo itself wasn’t on the agenda, but through the process it became evident that it wasn’t adding any value. We felt the recent update had lost any sense of heritage, and so developed a rugged logotype coupled with a shield device for versatility and symbolism.
ROLLOUT:
First on the agenda was the website. They were already on Squarespace making it easy for us to restructure and customise. Shortly after we designed a display and campaign for the Brisbane Homeshow aimed at consumer solar. Our “What’s Your Solar Excuse?” campaign gave sales staff an instant talking point and in turn achieved double the usual leads. At the time of writing a number of items are yet to roll out, but the foundation for future success has well and truly been laid.
